Transportation Services
Monroe Puente understands the difficulty our clients have in accessing dependable transportation for medical appointments, school meetings, etc. It is for this reason that we are committed in breaking down this barrier and insuring our clients are able to have dependable transportation.
We provide this service at a low cost to clients and have a sliding scale for community members in financial hardship.

Cultural dances play a pivotal role in nurturing a sense of identity and unity as they provide a gateway to understanding one's heritage and history.

Monroe Puente will host it’s 4th Annual Hispanic Cultural Celebration and Festival!
It is a day to celebrate Hispanic Heritage through the sharing and promotion of culture, traditional foods, cultural attire, and cultural dances with the greater Monroe County Community. A time to honor our ancestry and appreciate our cultural differences.

Monroe Puente hosted it’s 2nd Annual Tres Reyes Cultural Celebration!
We are pleased to continue to host this exciting cultural event to commemorate Three Kings Day, a holiday full of joy, tradition and fun. Three King’s Day is a celebration commemorated throughout Latin America. This special date brings us the opportunity to join with family and friends to celebrate the arrival of the Three Kings, who brought gifts to the newborn Jesus.

Puente receives Advancing Healthy Births grant from The Perinatal Quality Collaborative of Michigan
“Puente has been working on providing community focused services for 2 years with this award they will be implementing a Bilingual Community Health Worker Program (BCHWP) to increase their impact and services to the Immigrant and Spanish speaking community of Monroe, Michigan. With a focus on translation, transportation, and resource navigation, the BCHW will be working with clients in need of access to health care. The BCHWP seeks to diminish barriers in improve access health care that is culturally responsive and in the native language of the population served.”
